A letter to Dad

Dan Donahue (Thom Mathews) has finally met the woman of his dreams. But on the night he is going to propose, he is overcome by deep-rooted anger caused by the father who abandoned him as a boy. Dan confronts his feelings of bitterness head on as he pours out his heart in a letter to his father.

As Dan writes, we see his life unfold, feeling his pain and ultimate joy, as we watch him grow from young boy to troubled teen and finally into a strong, spiritual man. In the end it is Dan's father, played brilliantly by John Ashton (Beverly Hills Cop I & II) who must face his own failures as a father in a climactic one on one meeting with the son he left behind.

Based on a true story, A Letter to Dad is a touching story of how faith and love can overcome a lifetime of pain and anger. "Many people will relate to this well-acted, tightly directed and edited film”. Ed Carpenter, The Dove Foundation

A Letter to Dad features a masterful original score by composer Matt Gates and original songs by Jeremy Camp, Adie Camp, Thousand Foot Krutch, Decyfer Down and Dakeye.

The Gospel for Kids

This excellent video was presented by the North American Missions Board, an arm of the Southern Baptist Convention. They are to be commended for bringing God's Plan down to the basics for "unchurched" youth to easily grasp. The original video and many others are available on the NAMB site.

99 balloons

Eliot was born with an undeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it and DNA that placed faulty information into each and every cell of his body. However, that could not stop the living God from proclaiming Himself through this boy who never uttered a word.

Potters Hand

I've seen clay being fashioned into pottery on TV several times. This was my first live demo. We saw this in a place called Kumarakom by a local potter. It was much more breathtaking seeing the real thing! It took about 10 minutes to transform the ugly lump of clay into beautiful pottery - deft touches of his hand, careful molding, a flick of his wrist and the transformation was complete. Each touch made it more complete and more beautiful. I couldnt help but think of the bible verse
Isaiah 64:8
Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
And the song that sprang to my mind was Potters Hand
"Take me, Mould me, use me, fill me
I give my life to the Potter's hand
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me
I give my life to the Potter's hand"

Who am I?

My brother Arun emails me only when necessary and usually its very short and to the point! Today I got an unusual 1 line email. Both the subject and the body had just a link

Yup it was a video. I waited patiently for the video and the next 5 minutes simply blew my mind away! This choreography performed to the song Who am I by Casting Crowns is too amazing for words. Click the link below to watch it.
